Summer libations: The King’s Summer Cup
Author: Amanda Baxter
Ginger, lemon, red fruit; these are not only fresh summer flavours that work well together, but also the inspiration of childhood favourites fruit salads and jellies. These easy dishes are perfect for serving alongside this simple punch.
The King’s Summer Cup is ideal for summer parties; being easy to make up either in individual glasses or in a large punch bowl for all your guests to help themselves. Be sure to get the old-fashioned cloudy lemonade; it cuts through the sweetness of the liqueur whilst complementing the spice of the ginger. The cranberry juice adds dryness and a lovely colour too.
We suspect that the fast-living King Edward VII – for whom The King’s Ginger was created back in 1903 – would have heartily approved. Cheers.
- 1 part The King’s Ginger liqueur
